what is reservation criteria of minorities in AIIMS AND NEET? Also for RBA Class in NEET

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 18th Feb, 2020

Minorities in India are Muslims. Christians, Jains, Sikhs, Parsis and Buddhists. There are Minority Medical Colleges across India and they are filled with the specific Minority based on merit in NEET entrance exam. Or else based on the Category the Minority falls under in that particular State, the student can apply for that Category. For example, if a Christian Minority student belongs to EWS/OBC/SC/ST, he/she can avail the reservation of that particular Category. RBA is specific for Candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and not for AIIMS because admission to AIIMS are done at All India Level.

Hello Aspirant, The persons belonging to EWS who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SC, ST and OBC shall get 10% reservation in direct recruitment in civil posts and services in the Government of India. But you cannot apply scientist and technical post.

For the Bank PO exam the website show whether they accept the EWS Certificate Or not.

I hope this will help you.

does a dyslexia student with 40% disability eligible for MBBS as in NTA guidelines they say selection will be based on learning competency of the student. does we get reservation for it? Does reservation quota comes if we get top marks?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 3rd Apr, 2020

According to the NTA Information Bulletin https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/ShowPdf.aspx? Dyslexia is considered an intellectual disability. MCI has a rule stating that Candidates with learning disability can study MBBS but are not eligible to claim reservation under disability category. To quote the MCI guideline, " lack of objective method/quantification of disability to establish presence and extent of mental illness" is the reason why dyslexia cannot be considered a disability. This means you cannot determine a patient's extent of dyslexia on the basis of one test on one particular day. The MCI guidelines state that a Candidate with or more then 40% dyslexia cannot be recommended for Reservation under PWD. So any Candidate with or more than 40% of dyslexia is eligible to appear for NEET and should he/she secure a seat in MBBS can study but cannot be eligible for PWD reservation.

i am a child of intercaste couple withfather belongs to Nair community and mother , Hindu Ezhava , can i get any reservation based on the intercaste marriage and also with the preferences of OBC if any ,is there any prescribed form for intercaste marrriage certificate

Sanjay Khandelwal 4th Jan, 2020
You will get reservation based on the caste your father belongs. As I know there is no specific mention of intercaste marriage. A child will get reservations as per the community his father belongs and a wife will get reservation as per his husband's caste after marriage. So you will get reservation only if your father caste comes under OBC. You can get further detail from tehsildar office.

sir is there any provision of reservation if mother is of reserve category?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 4th Jan, 2020
Ideally if either of the parents belong to a Reserved Category, the Child can be given that Category. Now let's say my Father belongs to OC but my Mother belongs to OBC. I can avail BC reservation by choosing BC in my Caste certificate from very early on. You have to visit your nearest MRO or Tehsildar office and furnish the details and can get a Caste certificate if your mother belongs tp a Reserved Category.
