Robotics
Hello Aspirant
Robotics require the knowledge of both hardware and software. Coming to the hardware part, the microcontroller is the heart of the robot and the integration of various components and sensors with the microcontroller matters. Coming to the software part, the code should be dumped into the microcontroller (either .asm or C or python) to control the working of the robot.
Which is better?
The ECE stream gives a good idea and concepts of hardware and software that is required to deal with microcontrollers. You will come across a subject/course on Microprocessors and Microcontrollers that gives the knowledge of integrating hardware with software. The microcontroller along with it's peripherals(hardware components) can be controlled by dumping the code into the microcontroller. The basic languages like . asm, Embedded C that are used commonly as coding languages for microcontroller will be dealt in this subject. And also the concepts of Embedded Systems is dealt as a subject in ECE.
Two options:
If you want to choose robotics as a career option, you can choose either of the two options: software or hardware. You have a lot of career options for both full time software developer and hardware developer. If you choose ECE, you'll get the knowledge of hardware and software part and you can go into any stream in future
Hope it helps
Thank you & Good Luck!!!
B.Tech. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) is a 4- year undergraduate engineering course. It is a combination of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, mainly combining the electronics part for sensing with instrumentation engineering. This specialized branch of engineering helps to create, construct and maintain measuring and control devices and systems found in manufacturing plants and research institutions.
JOB PROFILE - Since B. Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering course is concentrated on both electronic instrumentation and computer-related processes, it makes an Electronics Instrumentation engineer fit for both hardware and software industries, thereby opening many interesting channels for employment.
Mechatronics engineering is a multidisciplinary study of the engineering/technology field that deals with the study of electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering, system engineering, and control engineering. Mechatronics engineering is a connection amongst technicians and engineers and gradually work from origination of a project to the culmination of the undertaking.
After finishing the Mechatronics Engineering degree, candidates can work on different aspects of technology such as control systems, artificial intelligence (AI) and expert systems, robotics, transportation, and computer integrated manufacturing systems and much more.
If we talk about India, there is a wide variety of career openings in Mechatronics Engineering graduates. Candidates can have a look at some of the job profiles/positions that a candidate can choose from after completion of a course in Mechatronics Engineering:
E&I(Subbranch of EEE) is the answer because instrumentation includes industrial processes and techniques of industrial automation. Other thing is that none of the single branch will include Robotics as individual subject in curriculum. May be in the above branches like EEE,EIE,CSE,Mech will include Robotics and Automation as a subject but it is not a robotics which a laymen thinks. It is industrial robotics.
Every branch is good but it depends on your interest what to choose for your future career.
HOPE IT HELPS.. ALL THE BEST !!
Hello Kumara ,
Some of the robot companies in India . Motoman , ABB , Fanuc India ,PARI ,Hi-tech Robotics ,GreyOrange , Systemantics Robotics , e.t.c.

All the best !!!
Hello,
Hope you are doing well.
As per your question, robotics is a field which is highly in trend and future scope is too much good . There are also top and reputed companies which will hire you at good CNC package. The companies which you can get as a robotics engineer is :-
1)ABB :-it is a top reputed company which will hire you at a salary of 20.81 LPA to 22.7LPA
2) Paypal INC. :-it is a reputed company which will hire you at a salary of 12.6 LPA to 15LPA
3) flyt base :-this is too a top company which have a package scenario of 4.28LPA to 9LPA
4) keybuild technologies :- they have a salary scenario of 4.3LPA to 7LPA
5) symphony venture :-they have a salary structure of 3.52LPA to 3.8LPA
These are one of the reputed which will hire you at best salary package. There are companies like flytbase, and gray orange which is also a reputed company have an excellent base package you can apply for. See honestly in the last in all companies they will see your skills rather than marks you scored, if you have a great skill you can get there and work for their development.
Hope this information helps you out. Thank you
Dear Aspirant ,
This branch is also a good option for you , if you have interest in robotics . In making a single robot it does not mean that only a electronics engineer will make it . It involves many type of engineers liek ME , ECE etc to make a whole robot .
Also there will be some robotic clubs in your college also , so must join them. There you will learn about robotics from beginner to advance level . And the best thing is that , you have to consult your seniors , they will guide you in this matter . There are various scope for robotics in foreign .
Hope it helps .
