Hi sirs i have a doubts regards eligibility criteria is only 12 marks considered for IMU cet or both my 11th and 12th PUC marks in PCM will be considered? because i have 67% in pcm in 12 marks, but when it comes 11th i have only 50% on pcm... ineed a clarification regards to this

Mayumi DAS 15th Apr, 2025

Hello,

For the IMU CET 2025 , only your 12th-grade marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) are considered for eligibility — not your 11th-grade scores.

Eligibility Criteria for IMU CET 2025 (Undergraduate Courses):

  • Educational Qualification : You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in PCM .

  • English Proficiency : You should have secured at least 50% marks in English in either your 10th or 12th standard.

  • Age Limit : For General category males, the maximum age is 25 years as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories and females.

  • Marital Status : For certain courses, candidates are required to be unmarried.

  • Medical Fitness : Candidates must meet the medical standards set by the Directorate General of Shipping, including specific eyesight and hearing requirements.

Since you have 67% in PCM in your 12th grade , you meet the PCM requirement. However, make sure you also have at least 50% in English in either your 10th or 12th standard to be fully eligible.

TA comes under which class ( class 1,2,3)?

Devanshi Goyal 11th Apr, 2025

Hello aspirant

TA (Teaching Assistant or Technical Assistant) usually falls under class 3 category in the Indian government job classification system.

Here’s the explanation:

Class 1: Gazetted Officers (e.g., IAS, IPS, Doctors in Govt Service)

Class 2: Lower-level Gazetted Officers (e.g., Section Officers, Lecturers)

Class 3: Non-Gazetted Staff (e.g., Clerks, Assistants, Technicians, TAs)

Class 4: Support Staff (e.g., Peons, Drivers)

So, unless the role is reclassified in a specific institution, TA is typically a Class 3 post.

Basically I comes from rajasthan but 1 have maharashtra domicile certificate because I completed my whole education upto 12th in maharashtra and my caste is JAT which is not comes under OBC category but in rajasthan and central level it comes under OBC category so lm totally confused that will maharashtra authority able to make my OBC certificate for central level or not and if i make it from rajasthan will the central OBC certificate works in central quota counselling in neet exam and if it work at central counselling does the address difference on Central OBC certificate issued by rajasthan authority and maharashtra domicile will be suitable for neet central counselling

Afreen 20th Feb, 2025

For NEET counselling, you can use a central OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate to claim OBC benefits under the All India Quota (AIQ) seats; for state quota seats, you would need a state-issued OBC certificate depending on the specific state regulations.

To convert a Maharashtra state OBC certificate to a central OBC certificate, you need to apply to the designated authority in your district with your existing state OBC certificate, along with necessary supporting documents, and request a "Central OBC Certificate" specifying that you belong to a centrally listed OBC category i.e JAT this process usually involves submitting an application form and undergoing verification by the relevant government official.

Hello Rahul,

Since you have Maharashtra domicile , the Maharashtra authorities will not issue a Central OBC certificate because Jat is not recognized as OBC in Maharashtra.

However, you can get a Central OBC certificate from Rajasthan , where Jats are under the OBC category. This certificate will be valid for Central Government quota admissions , including All India Quota (AIQ) counselling in NEET .

Key Points:

  1. State OBC and Central OBC are different: Since Jats are not OBC in Maharashtra, you cannot get a Maharashtra OBC certificate.

  2. Central OBC certificate from Rajasthan is valid for AIQ: As long as the caste is listed under the Central OBC list, you can use it for NEET AIQ counselling.

  3. For Maharashtra State Quota, you will be treated as General: Since Maharashtra does not recognize Jats as OBC, you cannot claim OBC benefits in state quota seats.

You should apply for a Central OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate from Rajasthan and use it for NEET AIQ counselling .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
