I was born in Assam, had done my schooling till 12th in assam.but i comes from other state.my parents had been living in rented house in Assam for past 20 years.we dont have any property in assam.right now I am preparing for neet.will I get state quota?

Prachi Kumari 9th Jan, 2025

Hello,

Eligibility for Assam NEET state quota depends on specific criteria set by the state. Based on your situation:

  • Domicile Requirement: You must fulfill Assam’s domicile/residency criteria. Typically, a minimum of 20 years' parental residency might help, but rules vary.
  • Schooling: Completing schooling till Class 12 in Assam may strengthen your case.
  • Parental Residency: If your parents have proof of living in Assam for 20 years, it may support your application.
  • No Property Ownership: Not owning property in Assam doesn't disqualify you.

Check the latest Assam NEET guidelines for detailed eligibility criteria and required documents.

Hope it helps !

please help !! I am coming under oec (sc) category from kerala. So while applying for neet mds there is only obc,sc,st options. When i look in the central list of obc my caste comes under obc. But when i look in the list by kerala government, i come under oec-sc. So for neet mds which category should i choose ????

Prachi Kumari 10th Dec, 2024

Hello,

For NEET MDS , here's the clarification regarding your category:

  1. Central List of OBC :  Your caste appears under OBC, but this is based on the central government's classification.

  2. Kerala Government List : In Kerala's list, you fall under the OEC-SC category, which is specific to the state's classification.

  3. NEET MDS Application :

    • Since NEET is a central-level exam, the classification that matters is based on the central government’s policies.
    • If you are applying for the central quota, you should select the OBC category as per the central list, as the state’s OEC-SC classification may not apply for NEET MDS.
    • If applying for state quota in Kerala, refer to Kerala's guidelines, which may accept your OEC-SC status.
  4. Consult Kerala Authorities : It's advisable to confirm with the Kerala State authorities or the NEET MDS helpdesk to ensure accurate selection based on the state and central quota policies.

Hope it helps !

sir i comes under EWS category while checking the college predictor whether we have to put all indian ranking or all indian EWS ranking sit

sadafreen356 9th Dec, 2024

When using a college predictor while belonging to the EWS category, you should always select "All India EWS ranking" instead of "All India ranking" as your ranking will be considered only within the EWS category for college predictions, giving you a more accurate result based on your reservation benefit.

Selecting the correct category (EWS) in the college predictor ensures the most accurate prediction of which colleges you are likely to get admission to based on your EWS reservation.

Can u plzz tell me if the paper comes in passage mode or it is full MCQ based only..?? Plz answer me as soon as possible as it would be very helpful for me..

Deepti Singh 2nd Dec, 2024

Hello,

Whether the paper is fully MCQ-based or passage mode depends on the particular exam you are referring to. Here's how the formats differ in most exams:

JEE Mains Patters

  • The paper is mostly MCQ-based (Multiple Choice Questions) for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Some sections consist of Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions where you give a numeric value instead of selecting an option.
  • Passages or comprehension questions are not included in JEE Main.

CUET (Common University Entrance Test):

  • It may include passage-based MCQs for subjects like English, where the comprehension skills are tested.
  • Domain-specific sections may have passage-based questions depending on the syllabus.

Other Competitive Exams:

  • Passage-based questions are often included in exams like CAT, CLAT, or some university-specific tests for reading comprehension or analytical reasoning.

My family belongs to Rajasthan state. But my family has migrated to Telangana and has been living here for more than 13 years. I am studying in Telangana. I have completed 10th studies in Telangana and now I am in 12th standard. For further studies, I should have my caste certificate and income certificate. From which state should I get these certificates? I belong to OBC caste (Mali) in Rajasthan, and this Mali caste is also there in the Telangana caste list and it comes under the BCD caste. I have my Aadhaar card with the address of Telangana. I dont have any other documents. How can I get my caste certificate and from where should I get it? Please reply fast. It is very urgent.

Prachi Kumari 20th Nov, 2024

Hello Shivani,

Obtaining your caste and income certificates depends on a few key details, including your family's origin, migration status, and current residence. Here's a clear guide tailored to your situation:

  • Caste Certificate:

    • State of Origin (Rajasthan):

      • Caste certificates are generally issued by the state of your family's origin, as caste is recognized based on your ancestral state. Since your caste (Mali, OBC) belongs to the OBC list in Rajasthan, you should apply for the caste certificate there.
      • You will need documents like your family records, voter ID or any document linking your family to Rajasthan. If your family still owns property or has relatives there, those links will help.
      • Approach the local tehsildar or district office in your family's ancestral area in Rajasthan for the application.
    • Telangana:

      • While Mali caste is recognized under the BCD category in Telangana, getting a caste certificate in Telangana may be challenging since caste certificates are tied to your ancestral place.
      • However, since you’ve been living in Telangana for 13 years and have Aadhaar linked to Telangana, you may try to apply through the Meeseva portal or a local tehsildar, citing your long-term residence.
      • For Telangana, you might need additional documentation to establish your link to the OBC list there.
  • Income Certificate:

    • I
    • Income certificates are issued by the state where you currently reside. Since you live in Telangana and have an Aadhaar card with a Telangana address, you can apply for your income certificate in Telangana.
    • Visit the nearest Meeseva center or apply online through the Telangana government's official portal for income certificates. You will need proof of residence and possibly an affidavit regarding your family's income.
  • Documentation:

    • For caste: Rajasthan-related proofs (ancestral connection).
    • For income: Telangana address proof and income-related documents.

Hope it helps !
