For stream 1

cse-less than 650

ece-less than 800

eee-1100

mech-1100

ict,it-1300

others below 2100 at max

But if you are from tamilnadu state then under state Quota you can get all branches except cse,ece. However, cutoffs change every year with respect to the level of exam and the no of candidates.

I am sure you can get seat in second councelling. But in first councelling it may be difficult to get seat in CSE . If many students below rank 500 choose other than CSE .You have more chances to get CSE. But the rank you got is good. I am sure you can join sastra in ECE,EEE,IT . As you know aerospace engineering is the newly established branch in SASTRA university .Currently this branch has developed a good lab with lots of facilities like aerodynamics gas lab , gas dynamics gas lab and proplusion labs .

And students used to get placed in core companies like Rolls Royce, Lockhead martin, Safran aerospace, ISRO, DRDO, Airport authority of india and many Govt organisations and also they are going for higher studies in IITs and abroad through GATE and GRE .Further you will get placed in top companies depending on your skills where as the average package for aerospace engineering here is about 8LPA and highest package is about 15-20 LPA .
