No, it is not mandatory to take a complete IRC test on TCS NQT. In case you've missed it, you will get a chance to give DRC which is Dry Run Check. These, IRC and DRC are to ensure that your system is compatible to give the actual assessment. In case any problem occurs you can opt for in centre or any other place to give your exam. In case you don't give either of the two, you won't face any problem.

In general now a days or in recent times CSBS as an integrated course of 4 years has been  designed with the help of many reputed academicians and with the collaboration of TCS as designed in four years computer science and business system course which is very much helpful for job prospect in future after the completion of 4 years course of CSBS. In placement TCS has decided that they would prefer the  csbs student to CSE student for their  placement criteria.

Hi, no a gap year does not matter as long as you have a valid reason and proof to show for the reason of the gap. Extended education does not matter too. TCS has been recruiting employees on the basis of their knowledge and experience. If the 6 years of experience is related to the work you will be taking up there then you are good to go. They check all of your marksheets at the time of joining. If the result for a particular semester is not yet declared, then only you will be exempted from producing the mark sheet of that particular semester. You can produce it later when your Initial Learning Program ends. If you have backlogs , you will not be allowed to join TCS.

Please do not do something silly and stupid like producing fake marksheets. Do not worry, just write to the ilp team when you get your joining. I am sure you would clear your backlogs and have a smooth joining. All the best :)
