Dear aspirant,the national institute of engineering is an engineering college located in mysore,karnataka,India.it was established in the year 1946,and granted autonomy in 2007 from visvesvaraya technological university.now coming to your question, as per the previous year comedk cutoff for NIE mysore for general category student the last rank for admission into ISE course was 3302 but if you have some rural quota or category quota there may be chances of geeting your desired branch.

Unless you are Hyderabad-Karnataka category, you Won't get CSE in NIE. Looking at the closing ranks, I can say that you can get any branch if you are in that category. But without it, maybe you can get lower branches, but very less chances. Check cutoffs yourself and have an idea.

Dear Animesh, Both are a pretty good option for study CSE and they have their own and most companies are on the campus are mostly same and both give similar package. So I suggest you see your self for campus area and infrastructure so you decide your self which is good for you.

The below given placement information are based on the review taken by the passed out CSE students from the respective colleges.

BIT College - 

Placements in this college are really good, especially for CSE branch. Placements for the rest of the branches are average. In 2016, there were 100% placements for CSE. This is amongst the best colleges. For a CSE student, the average package offered is 6.5 LPA. Students of other branches get around 4 LPA.

NIE College - 

The placements are good for computer science and information science students with an average package of about 6-7 LPA, but the mechanical branch placements are the best as compared to other mechanical engineering branches from other colleges. The companies such as Cisco, SAP laps, Motto was one of the top recruiters on the campus.

As you wanted to which college is best in respect of placements after graduation,it would be better if you go for NIE rather than jss college .As it is an AAA+ accreditation as well as with good reviews and placements .
NIE college has much better facilities as compared to jss  ,it is approved by AICTE (All India council of technical education).The salary package starts with a package of about 3lakhs and the highest package is 13.14 lakhs and the average package is 5lakhs.It is an autonomous private college with an estimated course fees of about 5.92 lakhs.So after all these pros ,I would like to suggest you NIE college over jss

NIE Mysore civil engineering placements:

The placements are good compared to other colleges since placements are a little low for the civil engineering stream. In civil engineering, around 50% got placed in previous batch. L&T Construction, ATKINS, Gulf, Brigade and Mantri Developers are the regular companies that recruit. Internship programmes are also conducted for interested students in Bangalore or Mysore. The highest package was around 6 LPA.

The placements for our senior batch is good. A total of 931 students were registered from all branches, and the offers are given to 631 students. The highest salary offered was 28 lakhs per annum in last year placement, and the average salary is around 5 lakhs per annum. The internship opportunities are good for CSE, ISE, ME branches only and not for other branches. The average stipend is around 20k.

Placements of BIT Mesra

Placements are good in BIT. Placements are very good for CSE, IT and ECE branches. More than 25 students got packages more than 30 LPA. The average package for ECE branch in BIT is around 9 to 10 LPA. Placement for rest of the branches is average with 5 LPA as the salary offered. Many companies also offer internships for the students.
