The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore
Hello Ankit,
You have not mentioned the Category you belongs to, so I'm considering it as General Category and giving information based on it. For your COMEDK UGET Rank you have chances of getting Electronics and Communication Engineering branch in only Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Mysore based on previous year's cut-offs.
Previous year's COMEDK UGET cut-offs for Electronics and Communication Engineering branch in the Colleges you have mentioned is mentioned below.
Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Mysore : ECE - 34,242
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore : ECE - 16,258
JSS Science and Technology University, Karanataka : ECE - 11,855
But cut-offs changes from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, category, difficulty level of the exam, etc.
To predict Colleges based on your COMEDK Rank go through below mentioned College Predictor Tool.

I hope this information was useful.
Best of Luck!!
Hello aspirant,
1- The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore is an autonomous institute affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University. NIE at 178th rank amongst all the Engineering Colleges in the country in 2019. It has also secured 28th rank as per Outlook India’s Top 150 Engineering colleges, 2019. The Institute currently offers 21 courses across two streams: Engineering and IT.
NIE Mysore Admission Process-
NIE Mysore admission is mainly through COMEDK, GATE and Karnataka PGCET entrance exams.
A specialisation-wise split of closing rank cutoff for Round 1 and Round 2 of COMEDK Counselling, for General Merit candidates seeking BE/ BTech admission at NIE .
Faculty - Highly qualified teaching staff who are from IITs and NITs. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They guide in everything.
Infrastructure are good .
NIE Mysore Placements - Median Package 4 Lakhs
Median Package 5 Lakhs
Median Package 4.23 Lakhs
2- Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology (VVIET) was started in the year 1997, as part of the mission of the Vidya Vikas Educational Trust.
The Institution has six undergraduate programmes and two postgraduate programmes.
Placement- Placements and jobs oppurtunity not so good .it will be good in placements but in civil department there is little problem in placements in other departments it will be good.
Infrastructure , faculty and campus are average.
NIE Mysore has a total faculty size of 151 members and 3828 students.
If you are particularly focusing on placements then I will suggest VVCE college in Mysore as it is having a very good placement percentage report. NIE Koorgalli is basically a growing college, so the placement is not so good. ATME college placement performance report is not much appreciable. You can also check about the placements of these colleges individually by going through some articles of Careers360 based on the same and I think after this you can drawn a conclusion about joining.
Thank you.
Dear applicant firstly if you focus on individual subjects you would find, Both Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering are valuable branches of B.Tech. But considering the present scenario the Placements of ECE branch is somewhat better, now focusing on the Institutions National Institute of Engineering is overall a good college but the campus life may not be that pleasant. You have tk work hard to get accustomed to their environment, coming to VidyaVardhaka Institute, there you would get immense support from the Faculties, they would indulge you into research activities. Placements of ECE branch is flawlessly conducted every year, with initial Package around 4-7 LPA. https://www.careers360.com/colleges/vidyavardhaka-college-of-engineering-mysore

Hi,
In my opinion you should go for EEE in NIE Mysore.
I'd suggest you to go for EEE in NIE. It's NIE's core branch. ECE, Mech, CSE are the best at NIE. Seats never go unfilled. When you don't know about your interest, remember that college name matters. I'm not very sure about the facilities provided to students of VVCE. NIE has an amazing department. They are working with many new technologies and we always see the students doing their surveys. Over that, NIE is ranked among the top 100 engineering colleges in the country including IIT's and NIT's.
But if you are confused, here are some tips - If you're good at mathematics try computer science and if you're good at physics join EE.
If you're looking for placements, I prefer EEE at NIE. Though number of core companies visiting will be limited you'll stand a chance in many other companies with decent packages. Note that Vidya Vikas Engineering College is bad college in terms of placements, number of companies visiting every year is relatively small when compared to that of NIE.
If you're not really into survey work or working in the field or playing (experimenting) with circuits, join computer science.
On the whole, I prefer NIE EEE over VVCE CSE.
