Pankhuri Kumari 15th Apr, 2021
Hii!
CSIR NET and UGC NET, both the exams are conducted by National testing agency ( NTA ). CSIR NET is mainly for science stream pass-out candidates whereas, UGC NET focuses on a total round of subjects, that is, Art's, languages and overall approach.
So, I would suggest you to go for CSIR NET if you satisfy the eligibility criteria. The link given below will help you with more information -

hy Im completed MA in Economics so how to prepare ugc net

darshita 9th Apr, 2021

Hello,

UGC NET Exam will be conducted in the month of May: from 2 May to 17 May.

Given the time left before the exam, you must first identify how to utilize your time efficiently and which study resources should be used.

Go through the entire syllabus :

  • Read the syllabus once.
  • Analyze which sections seem to be easy and which are tough so that you can allocate your time accordingly, in both the papers I and II.
  • You have approximately 30 days to prepare for the exam, so, it is imperative to divide your time to ensure that you give proper coverage to your learning time, revision time as well as solving previous year’s papers and mock tests.
  • You can buy any one of the books mentioned here: Trueman/Arihant Experts/KVS Madaan/Upkar
  • Apart from books, YouTube videos can be viewed to gather more information on a particular topic
  • You should try to solve at least 10 papers. The analysis of solved papers is quite crucial.
  • For the first time, the UGC NET exam would be conducted online. So, try to take as many as online mock tests.
  • Revise all these notes on the last few days of your preparation.

Hope this helps!!!

I have my masters in Mass Comm but my work experience is Management. I would be comfortable giving a Management UGC NET paper. Is it possible?

pdwords Student Expert 5th Apr, 2021
Hello,

In order to appear for UGC NET it's mandatory to have Master's Degree in the relevant discipline with 55% aggregate from a recognized university, in case of reserved categories there is relaxation of 5%, since you have Master's Degree in Mass Communication, you can appear for that subject only, and moreover management and mass communication are totally different and for UGC NET the work experience which you have isn't taken into consideration, what matters is your postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline.

what type of questions are asked in ugc net? whats it level n which book material should follow for zoology?

Souhrid Sarkar 4th Apr, 2021
Hello,

UGC NET is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by
National Testing Agency (NTA) in online mode.

Exam Pattern :

There will be two papers for the UGC NET exam. Both the papers consist of multiple-choice questions. No break between papers is given. There is no negative marking and for any wrong response and 2 marks will be given for each correct answer.

Difficulty level of the exam varies every year so speaking in a generalized way,you can expect a question paper of moderate difficulty.

For Life Sciences you can prefer reading UGC NET Life Science by Ashish Nagesh, Quaisher J. Hossain (Arihant Publication)

I have filled wrong annual income in ugc net by mistake. Will there be any issue after clearing ugc net? I belong to SC category.

Vibhanshu 17th Mar, 2021

Hi,

You can change this during the UGC NET Correction Period for 2021 exams. The dates for corrections were 12th March to 16th March. However, in any case, if you missed the deadline and forgot to update the income, there shouldn't be much issue.

In general there shall not be any problem with the income status except if you have applied for EWS Quota because it depends on someone’s income and misfiguring data can lead to cancellation of seat through that reservation. Since, you are from SC category, it shouldn't bother you.
