see ews criteria is newly introduced and in most of the states it is issued by state government only. so there is less chances for cancelling of your application. however it will be better if you leave an email to concerned exam authority relating your discussion   of ews certificate issuing authority

1) To have a valid recognised post graduation, as the institutes are autonomous, the PGDM course should be AICTE approved. But secifically to make PGDM equalivalent to MBA the course should be AIU approved. You can only pursue PHD only if your PGDM is AIU approved.

2) Yes, you're eligible to appear for UGC NET or SET. They accept PGDM.

To better prepare for the exam know the exam pattern of what type of questions will be asked, then go through the entire syllabus and analyze which sections seem to be easy and which are tough so that you can allocate your time accordingly, in both the papers I and II. You can buy any one of the ugc books and also refer to post-graduation action books covering the important concepts in detail. YouTube videos can be viewed to gather more information on a particular topic. You can try to solve previous years paper to practice better and you can also practice through online mock tests.

Yes surely you are eligible for UGC NET but you must assure that you have 55% marks in your master degree level. The basic criteria for UGC NET is to complete the master degree with 55% marks. If you want to apply for junior fellowship research then your age must be not more than 30.

Whether or not you have cleared general category cut off you need to provide valid EWS category certificate during the document verification.The details which you have given while filling the application form are considered to be true and merit list is prepared based on category.So need to provide EWS certificate to claim your reservation otherwise your candidature will be cancelled.

Subin, NTA mentions few things in its Information Bulletin. It goes on to say "NTA will not change  any information entered by the candidates on its own after completion of application process under any circumstances. It is upto the Candidate to enter the correct information. Once the correction window has been closed,  NTA does not guarantee that any request for change in information will be entertained." Now the counselling happens after the merit list and cut offs have been released. And the merit list is prepared according to the marks you have scored and the Category details you have mentioned while filling in the application form. Now though your score might be more than the General Category, your Category cannot be changed. You will be still considered under EWS Category and you will be expected to submit documents accordingly. If you fail to do so, your admission might stand cancelled.

After clearing UGC NET with good score , one is eligible for the post of assistant professor / junior fellowship in indian universities and colleges . If he/she score a really good score he / she is awarded as the JRF ( junior fellowship award )  by recognized institute / universities .
