My rank in beled is 1800 and I from unreserved category? I can get du college?

Aashiketa 3rd Nov, 2021

Hi, since you haven't mentioned that what is the particular college or the course you are looking for to take admission and also you haven't mentioned your category rank therefore I can't help you in that depth. But I want to tell you that based on your rank it is absolutely true that you are eligible to take admission in Delhi University and of course in some of the top colleges of Delhi University. Apart from that you are also eligible to take course of your choice but in some cases you have to compromise on your choice of college. In my opinion it would be better for you to take charge in counselling process and I am suggesting you so because they will help you find the best colleges corresponding to your rank. Hope this helps.

geography honours in Bhim Rao Ambedkar college DUVs BA program pol science+history from motilal Nehru College Du which will be the better option for an UPSC aspirant

Shivanshu 1st Nov, 2021

Dear aspirant !

Hope you are doing great ! Geography from bhim Rao and ba program pol.science + history ,both are good if you want to go for upsc then you do not need to think of subject in your graduation ,it depend on your hardwork which you do so neither medium nor subject of graduation decide your future ,these days engineering field also growing in upsc so from where you can get idea that it doesn't matter which college or which subject you take ,you just need to do hard-work for upsc cse.

Hope it helps you!

Thanking you!!!

Sir I am studying in class 12 with physics, biology, chemistry English and physical education. I want to do ba philosophy in delhi University. Which college is best and is there will be deduction.can i go with philosophy, psychology, hindi and biology.

mrinalini048 1st Nov, 2021

Hey Alok!

For getting enrolled in the course of B.A.(Honours) Philosophy in University of Delhi (DU), no percentage deduction will be done if the candidate has not studied Philosophy in their 10+2. Earlier there used to be deductions but now no deduction for not studying philosophy in 12th class. So, you can calculate your best 4 percentage without facing deduction for not having studied philosophy before. But, keep in mind that you may be subjected to deductions in your best four percentage if you don't don't fulfil other criteria's such as choosing of subjects from the list A and B. For example, if you add physical education or music in your best of four for courses that are not associated with these subjects then you may be subjected to a deduction of 2.5%.

To know the top Delhi University colleges for pursuing B.A.(Hons.) Philosophy, check out the link provided below.

Although you will have to calculate your best of four percentage while when you apply for colleges while admission, but still you can know the format of calculation of best of four percentage for the purpose of DU admission. Below provided is the link for how to calculate best of 4 percentage.

on my DU application , application status is Certificate Verified by convenor and college remark is approved but action is still pending and payment link is also not present there. so please tell how much time itll take n is my admission confirmed ?

mrinalini048 1st Nov, 2021

Hey Meghana!

It's only normal that getting "approved" on the application status takes time because college staff also remains burdened with plenty of admission related tasks. It will soon be shown as approved if it's already been verified. The colleges may approve the applicant's application status for 4th cut off by 5th November, that is, Friday and students can pay the fees by 6th November (5 p.m). But in your case I believe it wouldn't take as long for the college you have applied in to approve at 5th November and it would be done in a day or two. So rest assured if your documents have been verified successfully you will surely get the approved status and afterwards you can pay the fees.

Hope it helps!

sir my physics no is 54/100 and chemistry no is 56/100 and then I eligible for Du jat exam bba

Sudeshna Dutta 1st Nov, 2021

Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing well.

Sorry to say but the min cut off is 60 percent. Except for the B.Tech (Information Technology & Mathematical Innovation) programme, entrance to B.Tech courses will be based on JEE Main scores. Before submitting the DU Application Form 2021, applicants should verify their eligibility. The following is a list of requirements for consideration:

Undergraduate Courses (Merit Based): 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board is required for students applying to UG Programs.
Admission to UG programmes at the University and its institutions shall not be based on age (except in profession courses). Admission to undergraduate programs would not be impeded by a gap year.
Hope you got the answer to your question. Incase of any queries, feel free to question. Have a great day!
