ONE LETTER IS MISSIING FROM MY NAME IN AADHAR CARD AND CASTE CERTIFICATE BUT MY NAME ON MY 10TH AND 12TH MARKSHEET IS CORRECT. WILL IT AFFECT MY ADMISSION IN DELHI UNIVERSITY DUE TO SINGLE LETTER TYPO IN MY NAME ON AADHAR CARD AND CASTE CERTIFICATE?

Prachi Kumari 18th Aug, 2024

Hello Yalshveer,

A single letter typo in your name on your Aadhar card and caste certificate might cause issues during the admission process at Delhi University, as the university typically requires all documents to be consistent.

Here's what you can do to address the issue:

  1. Update Your Aadhar Card and Caste Certificate: You should get the typo corrected as soon as possible. You can update your Aadhar details online or by visiting an Aadhar enrollment center. For the caste certificate, you'll need to contact the issuing authority in your region to get it corrected.

  2. Contact Delhi University: If the correction is not possible before the admission process, you should inform the admission authorities at Delhi University about the discrepancy and provide an affidavit stating that the names refer to the same person.

  3. Submit an Affidavit: You can also create an affidavit explaining the typo and stating that the documents refer to the same person. This affidavit can be submitted along with your other documents during the admission process.

Addressing this issue early will help prevent potential delays or complications during your admission process.

Hope it helps !

Can i do msc hons in botany from delhi University if i completed my bsc general from IGNOU????

Kanishka kaushikii 13th Aug, 2024

Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that you can pursue an MSc Hons in Botany from Delhi University with a BSc General from IGNOU, due to the following reasons:

1. Specific Subject Requirement: Most MSc Botany programs, especially at prestigious universities like Delhi University, require a strong foundation in Botany at the undergraduate level. A BSc General degree, which covers a broader range of subjects, might not meet the specific subject requirements.

2. Entrance Exam: Delhi University often conducts entrance exams for its postgraduate programs. 1 The syllabus for these exams is usually based on the undergraduate Botany curriculum. A BSc General background might put you at a disadvantage.

If you're keen on pursuing Botany at the postgraduate level, consider the following options:

  1. Bridge Courses or Diploma Programs: Some universities or institutions offer bridge courses or diploma programs to prepare students with general science backgrounds for postgraduate studies in specific subjects like Botany.
  2. Other Universities: Explore other universities that might have less stringent entry requirements for MSc Botany.
  3. Distance Learning Options: Consider pursuing an MSc in Botany through distance learning mode, which might have different eligibility criteria.

I hope this information helps you.

i score 586/800 OBC-ncl can i get admission in du with the course of bcom(hons)

Prachi Kumari 4th Aug, 2024

Hello,

With a score of 586 out of 800 in the CUET (Central University Entrance Test) and an OBC-NCL category, you have a competitive chance for admission to B.Com (Hons) at Delhi University (DU). Here’s a general breakdown of what to consider:

  1. CUET Score Analysis : The CUET score is used for admissions to various undergraduate programs in central universities, including DU. A score of 586/800 is quite strong and should be competitive, but the exact cut-off will depend on the specific university and the course.

  2. DU B.Com (Hons) Cut-offs : For B.Com (Hons) at DU, the cut-off is based on the CUET scores and varies each year. The cut-off scores can fluctuate based on the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and overall performance.

  3. OBC-NCL Advantage : As an OBC-NCL candidate, you might benefit from slightly lower cut-offs compared to the general category. This can enhance your chances of admission.

  4. College Specifics : Different colleges under DU may have different cut-offs. For example, popular colleges like Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) or Hindu College generally have higher cut-offs compared to other colleges.

Steps to Take :

  • Check Previous Cut-offs : Review the previous years' cut-off trends for B.Com (Hons) at various DU colleges to get a rough idea.
  • Consult DU’s Official Website : Keep an eye on the official Delhi University website and the CUET admission portal for the latest updates on cut-offs and admission processes.
  • Prepare for Counseling : Stay prepared for counseling sessions and be ready to apply to multiple colleges to maximize your chances.

YOU CAN ALSO USE THE DU COLLEGE PREDICTOR TO PREDICT WHICH COLLEGE YOU CAN GET BASED ON YOUR CUET SCORE :-

DU College Predictor

In summary, with a score of 586/800 in CUET and considering your OBC-NCL category, you have a strong chance of securing admission to B.Com (Hons) at a DU college. However, final admission will depend on the specific cut-offs released by DU for the year.

Hope it helps you!
