Work experience
Swetha, that is a pretty good Academic profile that you have putup for yourself. If you can manage to score atleast 90-95%, you can get a very good B-School in CAT. Now regarding the gap year, all the IIMs and most B-Schools look at the diversity factor. There is Gender Diversity and Academic Diversity factor. The Institutions need someone who can bring variety to the table. So if you can come up with something creative during this period like taking up a course or a volunteering service or something in the similar tables, it will boost your profile. Having said that, a gap year doesn't affect your chances in any manner whatsover.
Based on previous years cut offs, you might have a chance at:
University of Hyderabad: Bio Informatics
Punjab Engineering College: Electrical Engineering/VLSI Design/Electronics Engineering/Industrial Design
Now this is based on 2019 after Round 4 data and cut offs change every year depending on various factors. Please use our GATE College predictor:

Not just that you can do it but I will moreover encourage you to go for higher degree. A work experience of 4 years will be helpful in getting and admit to a good University and also in post-MS job hunt. You can try good SOP, GRE and Recommendation letters you can score a good University. You can pursue MS in mechanical engineering in in one of the top IIT or other institutes for you can pursue MS abroad. Thank you. Good luck .
If it is a requirement just for eligibility to get a job then effect certificate might work but I would not encourage any kind of fake certificate because after all one day you will have to suffer what information you have provided therefore don't just attempt have fake certificate for getting a job because a job which lies on fake certificate can be a fake and therefore you should improve your skills honestly and try and try to grab a basic level job and after learning something you will definitely get progress.
Hello aspirant,
You got a good percentile in CMAT but there is a less chance to get a call from Great lakes. As there is no official announcement from the college . Cut off is mainly depend upon the fact that how many number of candidates filled the form, how many candidates seated in the exam , level of difficulty of the questions and number of qualified candidates.

hi,
see the basic eligibility criteria is you need to have a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university, there is no upper age limit is applied to appear in xat exam, also there is no specific marks criteria. some of the top tier 1 colleges also evaluate candidates academics results, if you get a high score you have decent chances to select in tier 1 colleges.
For getting in top B-schools of India like IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C, FMS Delhi etc. you need good marks not only in in CAT but also in Class 10th, 12th and your graduation. If you have some work experience then it gives you more advantages.
There is no specific cutoff of percentile on which you can get into top IIMs. Since your marks in 10th, 12th is above 90% and in graduation above 7 CGPA with work experience, you can expect a call from IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C if you have at least 99 percentile in CAT .
For FMS also you should aim for 99+ percentile in CAT and also keep in mind that if you score 95+ percentile in VARC Section it will increase your chances of getting in.
