hello mam, I am student of mechanical engineering with OBC(NCL) cat 495 gate score with 11000 rank with 69.7% in b tech and having a work experience in IT firm about 6 months. i am soo depressed after my results. kindly help and suggest me to get a IIT with a descent placement opportunites?? thanks
hi,
see at this score you have less opportunities for iits or top nits in mechanical engineering department. however you may apply for iit guwahati interdisciplinary course like mtech in data science which requires less gate score as compared to core technical stream. cutoff score is liable to change every years, depends on number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix. now see mtech admission is mostly on gate score and some of the iits conduct interview and technical written test. you may also apply for vit vellore, psg coimbatore, thaper institute of technology for mtech admission.
