Prachi Kumari 8th Jul, 2025

Hello,

With 86 percentile in MHT CET (General category), you have chances in some good private colleges in Mumbai for CS or IT branch. Some of the colleges you can consider are:

  • Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur

  • Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Wadala

  • Atharva College of Engineering, Malad

  • Xavier Institute of Engineering, Mahim

  • St. Francis Institute of Technology, Borivali

  • Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, Kandivali

These colleges usually have decent placements and good faculty. You can try for better options in the CAP rounds and also keep spot round in mind.

Hope it helps !

Can i get MAIT college in 622 rank in ipu cet for mba but i have not given cat exam ,i have only given ipu cet ,so can i get that college ? (delhi candidate)

Prachi Kumari 4th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, with a 622 rank in IPU CET for MBA and being a Delhi candidate, you have a good chance of getting admission in MAIT (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology).

You don’t need to worry about not giving the CAT exam. IPU CET rank is enough for admission in MAIT under the CET quota.

Just make sure to keep MAIT high in your preference list during counselling.

Hope it helps !

I have 42% MHT CET which college is best

preeti kataria 9th Jul, 2025

If you scored 42 percentile in mht cet getting in top government colleges like coep or vjiti is not possible because their cutoffs are bery high however you get still het admission in some private engineering colleges or self finances institutes especially in rural or semi urban areas of Maharashtra these colleges usually have lower cutoffs and may offer you branches like civil , mechanical quota in average private colleges where the cutoff is more flexible but the fees might be higher

How much percentile need in mhcet to get admission in btec it- data analysis

Ayush Madanpotra 4th Jul, 2025

To get admission in BTech IT with a specialization in Data Analytics or Data Science through MHT CET, the required percentile depends on the college you are targeting.

In general, for top government or reputed private colleges in Maharashtra, you will need a higher percentile. Here's a simple idea:

If you want admission in top colleges like VJTI Mumbai, COEP Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or DJ Sanghvi, then you should aim for:

around 97 to 99.5 percentile for General category
around 92 to 96 percentile for OBC/EWS
around 85 to 92 percentile for SC/ST

For mid-level private colleges like Atharva, Vidyalankar, Xavier Institute, and others, you may get a seat with:

around 85 to 95 percentile for General
around 70 to 90 percentile for reserved categories

The IT (Data Analytics) specialisation is in high demand, so even in mid-range colleges, the cut-off percentile is rising every year.

Here is the separate website link where you can check last year's cutoffs and confirm your chances

Nimcet. Rank 10720 to admission kis college me lu

Ayush Madanpotra 4th Jul, 2025

With a NIMCET rank of 10720, it is very difficult to get admission in any NIT for MCA because all NITs usually close admission at ranks below 1000 for general category. Even for reserved categories, the closing ranks are mostly under 2000 or 3000 depending on the NIT.

At this rank, you will not get NITs like Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal, Allahabad, or even the newer ones.

Instead, you can try for MCA admission in other good colleges that accept different entrance exams. You can apply to state universities like AKTU in Uttar Pradesh, IP University in Delhi, HBTU Kanpur, or the University of Hyderabad. Some private or government-aided colleges under state universities also offer good MCA programs.

You can also appear for state-level MCA entrance exams like MAH MCA CET for Maharashtra, Karnataka PGCET for Karnataka, or OJEE for Odisha. These exams will give you more options based on your rank in those specific states.

I got 78.83 in MHT CET which branch is better for me in MKSSS Pune .with NT C category

preeti kataria 9th Jul, 2025

If you got 78 point eight three percentile in MHT CET and you belong to NT C category then you have a chance to get branches like mechanical engineering instrumentation and control or electronics and telecommunication in MKSSS Pune but you may not get computer engineering or IT branch because their cutoff is very high and usually closes above ninety eight percentile so it is better to choose branches that match your score and have better chances for admission mechanical branch is good if you are interested in machines or industry work and it gives good job chances in Pune electronics and instrumentation branches are also good with stable career options if you like working with circuits or machines during counseling you should choose the branches carefully and fill more options so you get a seat in early rounds also keep checking the official cap round updates because sometimes better branches become available in next rounds and you can shift if your marks match the new cutoff it is also good to look at other government or private colleges in Pune where the cutoff is near your percentile so you can compare and take a smart decision and always keep your documents ready for admission and verification

I have scored 66.94 percentile in MHT-CET and my cast is NT-D And I want AIML branch in which college of mumbai Do i get this

Pradeepa P 3rd Jul, 2025

With a 66.94 percentile in MHT-CET under the NT-D category , securing a seat in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) in top government engineering colleges in Mumbai is unlikely , as the cutoffs for such branches usually fall above 90 percentile , even for reserved categories. For instance, COEP Pune typically closes around rank 12,000 for NT-D, and similarly ranked Mumbai colleges have closing ranks within the top 15,000 to 18,000 range.

However, you may have a better chance in private or minority private engineering colleges in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, where NT-D cutoffs for AIML may fall between 20,000 and 50,000 ranks , especially in later rounds.

i got 91.63 in mht cet and i am from nt-c catagory. I am from kolhapur. i cant understand what should i do choose RIT islampur or go to pune/mumbai ? Because i cant afford pune and mumbai . Tell me is RIT good or i should get a good college than this in mumbai /pune

Pradeepa P 3rd Jul, 2025

With 91.63 percentile in MHT-CET and NT-C reservation , you have a good chance of getting core branches like Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil in Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Islampur , and possibly Electronics or Computer-related branches in later rounds.

If affordability is a concern and you want a reputed college closer to home , RIT Islampur is a very good option . Unless you get full support or scholarship in Pune/Mumbai colleges, going for RIT is the more practical and balanced decision .
