If you really want to migrate your career from Science stream to journalism and mass communication then you must be very specific about this domain because this is very broad domain, Apart from Journalism, in mass communication you can also make a career in Public relation, advertising, filmmaking, photography, video editing and many others because in the mass communication you learn all the above subjects. So will suggest you take a careful decision while opting in this domain. I advise you not to go for any diploma course just after your 10+2, you must opt for an undergraduate degree in this domain such as BA/BSc in mass communication or journalism etc. Now comes to your answer this time you are too late for taking admission in any government colleges because most of the public institutes has close their application process, in that case,if you haven't filled any form.
