JEE mains paper 1 is for admissions in engineering fields and paper 2 is for B.Arch and B.planning.
So, to get Admissions in aeronautical engineering, you will have to give JEE mains paper 1 i.e. B.Tech . Paper 1 is for Engineering and 2 for architecture which is the main difference. You can appear in JEE mains April session 2020. The registration will start from 7th February 2020.
