Admission in medical Colleges is done on the basis of rank list of NEET exam conducted by NATA and many prestigious medical institutes conduct their own medical entrance exams like AIIMS, JIPMER etc.
According to MCI there are a total of 30,880 government medical seats in country including 990 seats of AIIMS and JIPMER.
If you wants to take admission in these institutes than your rank must be within the rank list.
