The TISSNET exam basically has three section- Social Sensitivity, English and Maths. While preparation of English and Maths would require similar effort as that for other MBA entrance like CAT and XAT, the Social Sensitivity section requires understanding of variety of subjects and issues related to social concern. For this section, you need to keep yourself updated with the daily happenings on national and international level, issues that impact our lives.

This section carries the maximum weight. This section includes questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs. Following are some of the topics covered in this section:

• History & Geography

• Literature &  Films

• Social Activities and Movements

• Fine Arts and Music

• Economic processes etc.

Based on the topics, you can gather preparation material from different sources like CBSE XI and XII history and geography books, NCERT X, XI,XII Economics text books, daily newspaper etc
