Hi Shubham,
NEET UG exam comprises of 45 Physics, 45 Chemistry and 90 Biology (Total 180) Objective type questions. Each question carries 4 marks, so the total marks in the NEET UG examination is 180x4, which equals to 720 marks. The negative marking pattern in the examination is in the ratio of 1:4 or 25%, ie for each wrong answer 1 marks would be deducted from the scores obtained from your correct answers. So if you have attemted 140 questions and all your answers are correct, your score would be 560. However, if 20 questions out of those 140 are incorrect, then the number of questions that are correct would be 120, and your score woud be (120x4 – 20x1), which is equal to 460. This is how negative marking is applicable for NEET UG examination.
