No, BDS and MBBS are not the same.

BDS or Bachelor of Dental Surgery is a Five-year undergraduate to become a qualified dentist.

MBBS or Bachelor of Medicine or in Latin Medicinae Baccalaureus Baccalaureus Chirurgiae is the predominant medical undergraduate coursefor becoming a doctor of modern medicine in the country.

BDS is Bachelor of Dental Surgery

MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

Both are different courses. At UG level, NEET UG is the accepted entrance exam for BDS and MBBS courses across State, Government and Private Dental and Medical Colleges. At the PG Level you have NEET MDS and NEET PG.
