BHU or Jamia milia islamia which one offers UG course in anthropology?

Unfortunately both BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia do not offer undergraduate courses in anthropology. Though BHU offers post graduate course in anthropology i.e. MA in anthropology.

UG in anthropology is a 3 year course divided into 6 semesters. It is the scientific study of humans, their behaviour and societies in the past and present. The eligibility for the course is:

1. Passed intermediate from a recognised board with minimum 55% marks.

2. The admission is usually merit based.

3. Few universities may conduct entrance test as well.

Few colleges/Universities that offers UG in anthropology are:

1. Symbiosis school of liberal arts, Pune

2. Madras University

3. National institute of medical sciences, Jaipur (NIMS)

4. Punjab University

5. Lucknow University

6. Ranchi college, Ranchi University

7. Ashoka University

8. Delhi University

You can gather more information about your particular course from the official website of the respective colleges/University. As some of them offer BA in anthropology and some offer B.Sc. in anthropology. To get admission in B.Sc. anthropology the eligibility is to have completed 10+2 from science stream and for BA anthropology anyone can join it irrespective of their stream.

For government Universities the fee may range from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 20000 and for private university the fee may go upto RS. 2-3 lacs.

The undergraduate program in  anthropology  is bsc (anthropology) and bsc (hons) Anthropology or B.A anthropology . Jamia and bhu doesnt offer an undergraduate course in anthropology.
