A lo depends on your interest too as you can give your best in a field in which you are interested as the companies pick the bests. I would give AI & ML as having an edge because of the increasing demand. But it is not that Data Science in less, it too is needed basically.

You need to pursue from a university giving you the best faculty, infra structure, exposure, platform, workshops, seminars etc. LPU is a name I would definitely reckon as it offers the MOOCS,hackthons, industry immersion, joint placement drives with the giant techs and also On- Job training with big brands. LPU has received many accolades for placements too, like the National Employ-ability 2020 award for best placements. Many MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. have recruited the LPU students for packages ranging from 1cr to 15LPA. Recently a student of LPU bagged the job offer of Microsoft at 43LPA.

The B.Tech in Data science is in more demand due to rapid growth in big data management and analysis jobs in the market. Well every university is doing good for their students but as per my knowledge I can give you the insight of LPU as my cousin did B Tech from here and she is placed in cognizant with good salary package.
1) In LPU, the faculty, infrastructure and facilities are excellent as IITs, NITs.
2) In LPU, due to tie ups with leading companies such as SAP, Cognizant, Microsoft, BOSCH, CISCO, GOOGLE etc. , the syllabus of courses are vetted and inspected by these company professionals in the beginning of every semester.
3) The preparation of placement subjects such as soft skills, analytical skills etc. Are the part of curriculum here like, you will read these as subjects in every semester like other subjects.

machine learning and artificial intelligence has wide scope in all engineering disciplines and has wide area of application. in near future demanding of AI and ml will be higher. whether in in current market scenerio data science is also demanding. if you have interest for statistics and probability oriented functional approach you should take cse with data science.
