By how much a ST category dropper is benefitted from a general category student

Hey akshi! The minimum percentile required for qualifying NEET  is 50 percentile for general and 40 percentile for sc/st categories. Cut off marks may vary every year due certain factors like no. Of candidates ( applied and qualified), how hard was exam, highest score achieved. Last year the cut off was 119 for general category and 96 for STs and SCs.There's always a difference of about 20 marks between UR and SCs and STs. Let us suppose if 600+ is the score which secures your seat in MBBS,then for ST category their may be a relief of 20 marks. Researved categories sure do have some advantage over general category,but results may vary accordingly.lets hope for the best!

According to NEET UG 2018 counselling, you have to score accordingly to secure a seat in government medical college. For this year the rank secured by the General Candidates to get an admission in Government Medical colleges is 8281, whereas the marks secured by the candidates is 546 out of 720. Whereas the ST candidates secured ranks around 70612 with marks 409 to secure a seat in government medical colleges. For SC candidates the rank is around 51117 with marks 439. The PH quota candidates have to secure marks around 154 to get a rank like 490673 to take an admission in government medical colleges. For OBC candidates, the rank is around 8299 with marks like 546 to secure admissions in government medical college.
