Due to the current situation i.e. COVID-19, there is a relaxation in the eligibility criteria for B.Tech[Lateral Entry]. You can give LPUNEST exam for scholarship but you have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

A diploma student completed his/her diploma in engineering for 3 years having 60 percentages of aggregate marks will be considered to apply for B.tech. Lateral entry programme.

If you satisfy the above mentioned criteria then you are directly eligible for the admission but in case you would like to appear for LPUNEST exam for scholarship purpose. You can apply for the exam even after completing your admission procedure.

1. For admission in B.Tech Lateral Entry, there is no entrance test. Eligibility states - Pass with Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 yrs. after 10+2(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent. in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 yrs. after 10+2(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent.

2. LPUNEST is not mandatory for admission, however you can apply for LPUNEST after admission for scholarship.
