Yes, you can still aim for admission to the ECE branch at LPU with a 63 percentile in JEE Main, but admission isn’t solely dependent on JEE right now. Currently, LPU is offering admission based on your 12th class marks , and you’ll need to qualify LPUNEST for both admission and scholarship benefits. The basic eligibility for btech ECE is minimum 60% in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English , so if you meet that, you’re good to apply. JEE Main scores are also accepted, but typically a higher percentile (around 80+) is considered for direct advantage, so in your case, focusing on LPUNEST would be the better path.
And here’s the catch if you want to grab the maximum scholarship benefits , make sure you apply before 25 April 2026 , because early movers always get the best advantage!

Hi Aravind,
There are three ways you can get admission into B.Tech at LPU,
1. LPU conducts its own entrance cum scholarship test by the name of LPUNEST. You need to qualify it.
2. Admissions in 2020 also have option for JEEMAIN candidates to take admission here, provided the score is upwards of 80%ile.
3. Direct admissions in case of students who have score of 90% or above in 12th with Physics, maths and english.
So, with 63%ile, you will not be able to make it to LPU, check if you are eligible for other two criterion. If not, you can still apply for LPUNEST and qualify it.
The programs available in ECE are:
I would suggest you to finish up with your admission process before September 20th, 2020, to avail the scholarships upto 35% of program fee if you are eligible for those.
Hope this helps
