Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for the same. Admission in Lateral Entry are possible.

Lateral entry means the admission will be directly in the 2 year of the course program you have chosen. You do not have to take admission in 1 year you will be directed to 2 year of any undergraduate program. Basically, for admission in lateral entry , some criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate.

LPU has extended their dates of admission and LPUNEST till 30th November, 2020. So you can check the details in your portal  if the option is still open to submit it and can apply for the programme for which you are interested in. For more information, you can refer the official Website of LPU.

Yes you can take admission in B.Tech Lateral Entry i.e. 2nd year of the programme if you are meeting the eligibility criteria.

I suggest you to contact admission department of LPU for more details as fee, scholarship and eligibility criteria is updated every year.  I had few friends who took admission in B.Tech Lateral entry in LPU on the basis of diploma.

Yes you can directly get a lateral entry in the 2nd year B.Tech after your Diploma if you maintain a good percentage in Diploma to pursue in the same branch.

Yes, you can take admission there in LPU through lateral entry as Lovely Professional University conducts National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for B.Tech [Lateral Entry] aspirants.So direct admission is not possible but you can go through the entrance.
