Nikhil, according to the ruling of the Central Government, EWS reservation has a 10% reservation across all Educational and Professional sectors. Going by the same, EWS Candidates have 10% reservation that they can avail. Now to be eligible for EWS reservation, your family annual income from all sources should be less than 8 lakhs.

Yes you can have benefit of EWS. Here are some listed down.

Reservation of seats for EWS shall be in accordance with the Gazette Notification No. DL-

(N)/04/0007/2003-19, dated 12th January, 2019, Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative

Department), Govt. of India or any further related Govt. of India directive(s) applicable at the

time of counselling. The certificate format for EWS candidate is given at Annexure – XIX.

Candidate must have passed any one of the qualifying examinations enumerated above securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General, OBC (NCL), UPS, EWS categories and 40% marks in aggregate for SC, ST, Transgender, PwD categories. There will be no rounding-off of the OGPA/percentage of marks of qualifying examination while deciding the basic eligibility of any 6 candidate for admission e.g. if a candidate obtained 49.99% marks in his/her qualifying examination, then it will not be rounded-off to 50%.
