According to NTA, a student can attempt JEE Main exam twice in a particular academic session. However, as per eligibility criteria & the age for appearing in JEE , a candidate can appear in the JEE in any three years like if you want to skip an year you can year gap doesnt matter in jee only you have restriction on age and you have 3 attempts .
