Cut off marks for kunbi category of admission to b pharmacy
Hey Pooja,
As you haven't given too many details in your question, I will assume you want to know about the cut off scores for Pharmacy admissions for the Kunbi category in Maharashtra state.
Admissions to the First Year Under Graduate Technical Courses in B.Pharmacy in Maharashtra will be through the Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. Candidates who clear the CET will be invited for the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) following which admissions will be finalized. There are 188 Government and Private colleges in Maharashtra offering undergraduate courses in Pharmacy.
Candidates will have to appear in two papers of MHT CET – the first paper will be Physics and Chemistry for a total of 100 marks; the second paper will be Biology also out of 100 marks.
The Kunbi category in Maharashtra comes under OBC reservation. 19% of seats in all colleges are reserved for OBC candidates. Apart from this, seats are also distributed for Home University and Other than Home University candidates among all candidates applying from Maharashtra state. Ladies also have a separate reservation applicable to them.
Keeping all of the above factors in mind, a safe cut off score for admission to B. Pharmacy courses in one of the better colleges in Maharashtra as per MHT CET 2017 data for all rounds when it comes to the Kunbi category would be around 105-110 for Ladies who are OBC Home University Candidates while it will be around 125-130 for OBC Ladies who are Other than Home University candidates.
Ofcourse a score of 85+ will also be enough to gain a seat to a B.Pharmacy course through the above applicable reservations but it would be better to aim for the scores mentioned above to guarantee admission to one of the better colleges of Maharashtra.
Hope the above information helps. All the best!
