Please go ahead and join Lovely professional University.I'll give you some of the things that I enjoyed while I studied there:
Lovely professional University is worth joining,This entirely depends upon whether you can make it worth joining or not. It’s a thing that how University treats you but what’s more important is how you treat the University. There’s no such thing as a BAD UNIVERSITY. That may be the image that we have created in our minds. So whether it is worth joining or not completely depends upon how you utilise the resources provided by the University for the betterment of yourself.
Choosing a University is a big decision, as our career fully depends upon that. There are some key parameters that we should keep in mind before choosing any University, like, faculty, placements, international exposure, curriculum, alumni of that university.
Lovely Professional University is the largest single-campus university in India, with more than 30,000 students, over 4000 faculties and staff, offering more than 200 programmes.
Talking about Lovely Professional University, I was a student of MBA here in LPU. I will summarize you some of the key points of LPU -
1) LPU is having industrial oriented curriculum as per industry demand.
2) International exposure - students from all over the India plus International students are also studying here.
3) Placements - The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of students. Around 550+ companies visit every year for campus-recruitment of students from LPU. LPU becomes the favourite landing place for bulk recruiters like Cognizant Technology Solutions, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Amazon, Bosch Engineering, Meditab and many more
4) PEP classes - PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester that prepare you for placement drives.
5) Innovative and productive environment, more emphasize on practical sessions with the benefit of having ragging free campus.
6) You will get an online system i.e UMS ( university management system), in which you can access all the details like your time table, fee status, attendance and result record, exam, schedules and many more.
7) Security measures for girls - If you’re a girl and decide to reside in hostel. Then you’ll have to mark you attendance daily in hostel to the floor warden and be in hostel within the entry timings. 6:00-6:30 is winters timing and in summers upto 07:30 probably. So if you don’t enter into hostel till that time. You are gonna have to face the warden for explanation and may be a call to your parents. That’s a bit harsh. While girls may not like this but I’m sure their parents would surely do. But if you wanna live freely. There are plenty of PG’s near University. Now decide what’s best for you. But you’ll be super safe inside the hostels than in PG’s that’s for sure. You can go to library from 08:00 PM to 12:00 AM. But will be accompanied with a guard from you hostel to library.Hospital, Mall, indoor stadium is also available inside the university campus.
8) LPU is having experienced, specialized and well qualified faculty members. 70+ faculty / staff members have been from foreign countries, faculty from IIT, IIM and IIIT as we are concerned about the betterment of the students and long term growth of our University. At present there are around 70 faculty members from IIT, IIMs, IIITs etc.
9)Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports or Academic. There are numerous events held in the University campus itself. If you like to dance/sing/act then you’ll have numerous cultural events, You get a handful of opportunities if you are sports guy. Let it be football, cricket, basketball anything. You’ll get many-many tournaments in every case. If you’re a computer geek, you like coding and all that technological stuff. You are gonna have a great great ride.

My experience - You’ll have all round development if you take part in all the different events and use every single resource provided by the University. Well this is an individual's perspective. I find it worth joining as it is good in all the aspects.
LPU's campus is one of the largest lush green campuses of India which is spread over 600+ acres. Gym, Hi-Speed 24 Hours free Wi-Fi service, Swimming pool. Very good central Library of 6 floors and a huge collection of textbooks and reference books. The campus has its own hospital, hotel and a mall. The classes are well-designed with all the latest amenities available.
Lovely professional university being the largest Private University in India having 30000+ students studying in more than 200+ courses, which includes 6000+ international students from 70+ countries from all around the world. LPU has lived up to its expectations, with the quality of education, the placement opportunities are amazing as well. It is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings.
The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to placements. LPU is conferred with National Employ-ability Award 2020 by Aspiring Minds for the 7th time in a row for having Most Employable Students and being one among the top colleges and universities in India with one of the highest Employ-ability rates.

As an alumni i just face one demerit that is workload and attendance constraints rest is really good. LPU has Best Lifestyle and College Life. You will find lot of things to enjoy apart from the education. LPU campus is well planned and advanced in terms of facilities and technologies. LPU is good in all perspectives whether it is teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. You will find the students and staff from about 50 Countries; from Cities, Suburbs, small Towns; from every ethnic & religious background. There is strong system for attendance, education and examination. You have to follow the timetable for your classes and maintain the good percentage in attendance. UMS is the best and main toll actually that is centralized one system for all Academic operations. Almost everything is online in the campus. LPU has around 2300 faculty members in the university. It has experienced, specialised and well qualified faculty members. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognition and accreditation and mark itself among the few of the top private universities.
The university is delivering best in academics, exposures and placements but there is one problem faced by students that University is strict in discipline i.e students have to attain minimum 75% attendance. No leverages are there and in addition to this if one date of assignment is finalised, there is no compromise or no extensions on the date.
But, I feel strictness leads to a positive outcome than negative one
Recently i visited LPU to meet my brother. i asked him the same question then he replied me that security of LPU is very high in terms of CCTV inspections, and guards and their strict rules regarding placement classes. Every student has to attend placement classes with more than 90% attendance. The rules of exams are also strict. But yes, overall he told me that this for his benifits and good career.
There is no such demerits according to me.
LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculties and staff members.
There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself.
LPU has earned many affiliations,recognitions and accreditations down the lane and mark itself amongst the few of the top private universities.
Even the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records.
So,I would prefer you to choose LPU to pursue your higher studies.
If you study hard there is no demerits of that college because in university Average students in every class is. Around 2000+ so it's difficult to get placement in that type of environment if you have below average.
So Choose accordingly .
Good : Infrastructure, Wi-Fi, services, administration. Bad : Campus Placement, Soft Skill (assessment, teaching, focus area). Flexible timing will become a threat to your future and habit. Note: Don't fall in trap of big infrastructure area. If you are joining because you are looking for handsome salary then you are at the wrong place.
The chances of getting placed is only in CSE branch and that too if you are among the toppers as there are around 2500 students in each branch.
