Do i have to clear any entrence exam to get admission in lpu
You can get admission in LPU without qualifying in an exam for various programmes offered by LPU such as BCA, BSc(HM), BA, BBA, etc. The admission in LPU depends on various parameters. First, you need to choose the course in which you want to take admission. Then, check its eligibility criteria.
The test conducted for scholarship and admission to various programs at LPU is called LPUNEST. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. Don't be scared, the syllabus of LPUNEST is all that you have studied in your previous qualification? In addition to it, there are questions of reasoning, verbal ability, analytical ability are also there.
LPUNEST is a proctored exam and questions are asked in the form of MCQs. The result is displayed on the dashboard of the student after 24 hrs. One gets two chances of attempting LPUNEST. The best of the two results will be applicable for a scholarship. One has to register oneself with the university and pay online for taking LPUNEST. The application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR). One can get the test altered and can avail a second chance as well.
In order to get admission in LPU, you have to choose a course and look at the requirement. I would recommend to visit the LPU website and the eligibility criteria. you can even call on toll free no. they will assist you. Thank you.
You have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the respective programme to take admission at LPU. LPU conducts its known entrence exam called LPUNEST.
I recommend you kindly visit the LPU website for more details of programmes and their eligibility as per your interest.
Looking into situation due to COVID 19 LPU relaxed eligibility norms for admisison session 2020 and extended it's admisison process as per UGC guidelines till 30th November that what I heard.
Now it depends upon which course/programme you want to take admission in.As you have not mentioned programme name you are interested in so it's difficult to provide you particular course details so best for you would be to browse the website of LPU- https://lpu.in/ to check details to decide the course you want to pursue and check whether for that particular course the eligibility requires you to give LPUNest or not. LPUNEST in some courses plays the role of eligibility and in maximum number of courses plays role of scholarship also.
For further queries call on LPU tollfree number given on LPU official website.
Thanks.
Well that depends on the course you are applying for.
In the situation of Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Therefore the entrance exam i.e. LPUNEST is not mandatory for all programmes but it do serves the purpose of scholarship for any of the programme.
So you should check the eligibility norm of the programme you would like to apply from the website of LPU. Admissions are going on with full swing. So apply at the earliest to grab a seat and avail some scholarship benefits.

Dear Pavan,
First of all You have not mention the programme name in which you want to take admission. As a alumni of LPU, I have bit idea about LPU NEST and other scholarships. Lovely Professional University conducts its own test LPU NEST (National Entrance & Scholarship Test).
This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programmes and scholarship for most of the programmes. The amount of scholarship depends on the fee of the programme, date of admission and performance of the student in LPU NEST. LPU NEST totally depends upon the programme which you will choose. For some programmes like Ph.D. LL. M. B.Tech, PG (Hons)Agri LPU NEST is mandatory for eligibility.
For other programmes Like BBA BCA B.Com you can take direct admission but you can register for LPU NEST for availing maximum scholarship benefit. Due to current Pandemic situation LPU has introduced COVID-19 FRONTLINE Scholarship scheme worth Rs 20 Crores, to honor the selfless contribution of the COVID-19 frontline warriors (I. e. Doctors, Nurses, Para-medical staff, Civic staff, Police personnel and many more) during the time of pandemic breakout through a special scholarship to their wards.
I would suggest you to take admission as soon as possible and register for LPU NEST for availing maximum scholarship benefit.
For further information you can visit Lovely Professional University Website or call on Tel: +91-1824-404404
Thanks !
