Does doing a M.Sc Psychology makes me eligible to become students/staff counsellor in colleges and in hospitals for patients and suicides?

Hi Sundar,
after a masters degree, a student is then able to take up apprenticeship or internship first during the semester and then take up a proper counsellor job after working under a proper psychologist
after Masters you will be eligible for the same
All the best
I hope this helps you out

Thanks Simran. This really help. I have a BE, MBA degree and now planning to do M.Sc Psychology. I m currently working as a Professor in an Engineering college, handling MBA subjects.Futher analyzing, I wanted to become a student's counsellor after seeing soo much student suicides that is prevailing around. That is the reason I would like to pursue a Psychology degree and understand the root cause for suicides and help students to stop taking that extreme decision.
Also I would like to add up that I am pursuing this degree via Distance Education. Hope I can become a psychologist and doing it in Distance doest matter right? Also I have plans to do a PH.D in Psychology post completing my M.Sc
