Does the college accept lateral entry in B.E.civil engineering ?
I would like to inform you that Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Bhopal offers Bachelors in Engineering Lateral Entry courses in nine different specialisations. There is a maximum intake of 192 students for lateral entry courses. The college is approved by AICTE ( All India Council For Technical Education ) under MHRD. This college has a co-education system and runs under private ownership.
#Bachelor in Engineering in Civil Engineering Lateral Entry is for a duration of three years.
#It is a full-time course and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.

#The Eligibility Criteria for admissions into Bachelor in Engineering in Civil Engineering Lateral Entry course is as follows :
- A candidate must have passed the Diploma examination in the respective branch of Engineering/Technology from an institution that is approved by AICTE.
- A candidate belonging from a general category must have a minimum of 45% marks.
- A candidate belonging from SC(Scheduled Caste), ST(Scheduled Tribe) and OBC(Other Backward Categories) must have a minimum of 40% marks.

- A candidate must have passed Bachelor in Science Degree examination from a university approved by UGC.
- A candidate must have a minimum of 45% marks in B.Sc degree.
- The candidate must have passed the intermediate examination with mathematics.

Yes, the college do accept the lateral entries in second year. You have to pass it's eligibility criteria to get the admission, though. According to it's eligibility criteria, you must have passes a diploma examination in appropriate branch of engineering from an institute recognized by AICTE with minimum of 50% aggregate. or you must have a bsc degree from a recognised college with min of 60% aggregate and must have maths in your 10+2 subjects.
