VITEEE examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes long and will have multiple choice questions. The questions will be created from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English. A total number of 125 questions will be present in VITEEE 2018 examination. 9667615105

Admission to VIT is conducted on a merit basis through it’s own online entrance exam, called the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) and through management quota also. Nearly 3,00,000 students appear for the entrance test every year. At present there are total 4917 seats available for the candidates in VIT University.

Secondly, your aggregate score of PCM or PCB has to be 60%, No candidate below the 60% in 12th Class Boards will be entertained.

Group: B Computer Science, Mechnical, ECE=4.93lac per annually

Group: A EEE, Civil, Biotech, IT, ETC, E & I, rest of all brunches=3.98lac per annually

Know #VITEEE Exam Pattern: being an entrance exam, #VITEEE test candidate’s knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English language.

Physics: 40 questions

Chemistry: 40 questions

Mathematics: 40 questions

Biology: 40 questions

English: 5 questions

PCM + English test or PCB + English test

All the questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type.

CSE get filled by around 5k rank and that of IT by around 8k. The seats other than merit list consists of 3 categories. Category 1 consists of merit list. In the year 2015, there were around 60% seats based on merit list. 09910123170

After the merit list, comes category 2, where your annual fees increases by around 1

lac. For category 3, 4 and 5, fee increases by 2 lac, 3 lac and 4 lac respectively. As far as I know, previous year, the counselling was closed at 40,000 rank as even the management seats had got over. So its not necessary that you would get a seat in VIT with any rank in VITEEE. The competition has got pretty high.

This year onward, VIT is giving 25% scholarship to students getting a rank under

couple of other top government foundations.

Ya, they don't, instead, they have the category system, you get a good rank in VITEE, you pay nominal fees.

You get a bad rank in VITEE, but want a good(preferred) branch in a preferred college, you pay more, that's how they work.

According to data of 2018-19, category 1 fees for cse, me, ece in Vellore campus was- 198000 inr for Indian students. while for category 2 fees for cse was ₹250000. They don't force you to pay more. It's completely your wish, ultimately you get a degree of VIT University. No matter which campus or branch you belong to.

Hello,
No as far as i know VIT UNIVERSITY doesn't take admission through management quota.But VIT UNIVERSITY takes admission into various engineering branches through various categories like category 1 to 5.With increase in each category the fee structure increases by 1 lakh per annum.
