Yes, you can. With/without coaching doesn't matter. A good test series will help you. What is really important and very few people throw light on it is your mental health. In your repeat year, things start getting frustrating by month of December and you feel stuck. When your juniors are appearing for board exams and your batch mates enjoying college, you will feel depressed. This is exactly the time when you should rise above it and break that monotony and thought process. Keep yourself motivated and healthy. These secondary factors sometimes play a bigger role in your success.

Without coaching and with just one month of preparation, I suppose you didn't really know how competitive these exams are these days. That's alright, now that you know, get to work! The qualifying marks for NEET and the marks required to actually get a college is ridiculously high. Your aim should be to get a college. So, as I say, success is a three pronged path; first study! Study your subjects well. At least till NEET, without any distractions, learn the subjects well and constantly think about them. Start solving mcqs as that application of your concepts and practice will help you get ahead tremendously. Since you have a lot of ground to cover, make sure you study in a focused manner, and do mcqs for a corresponding thing which you read as that helps.
As for coaching centre, completely upto whether you're better off studying by yourself or with someone explaining to you. That's all the difference. But do get into the exams series as they will help you in gauging your performance.

You have answered your question yourself. When you could score 140 in the first attempt without coaching then if you stay focussed and dedicated you might as well score really high and get into MBBS.
I would advice you to not only concentrate on NEET, but also give other competitive entrance exams for MBBS.
Joining coaching centres isn't obligatory, but it would be better. They would tell you the high yield topics which have to be focussed more and topics which can just be overlooked.
Getting a good rank is not just about the number of hours you study in a day but it is more about the level of desciplining and concentration. The same lineivht take you an hour if you don't have concentration.

One needs guidance, even while preparing for the competitive exams. If you have some senior or friends then they would help you, that will be well and good. You wouldn't need an institutional for coaching.  But the primary purpose of an institution for coaching is guidance.

Hello Jyoshni! Important thing that you should have in your mind is to crack any exam 3 steps are essential planning, dedication and execution. Things doesn't change overnight.  To get MBBS seat via you need to score decent mark, let say above 500. Then you should atleast target 550 for your every practise session and work on reducing mistakes you do amd improvise study pattern. I hope you have understood what I am trying to say.

Yes you can get good mark as well as MBBS seat without coaching. You have follow ncert next books and previous years question paper of NEET/aipmt

Hi Jyoshni, 140 was more than the cutoff marks, what is more important for you is to plan and study according to the study plan.. You have 6 months for your NEET UG 2018

Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.

BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhDso dont go by all books mentioned here and there
KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT
