hello as we all know there are 35000 seats in mbbs means the person who comes under this rank will get mbbs government seat so my question is why many says that if you score less than 500 then there is no chance to get admission in mbbs however to get 35000 rank we need approximately 420 ???
Alok, when we say that there are 35000 seats in government colleges for MBBS, we also mention the seats which are reserved for the OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS and PwD candidates.
The category wise reservation in NEET is as follows:
- OBC- 27%
- SC- 15%
- ST- 7.5%
- EWS- 10%
- PwD- 5%
The reservation for PwD category is horizontal across all categories including the unreserved category.
So you can see that less than 50% of the seats are there for unreserved students. So you cannot assume that by getting a rank below 35000 will assure you a seat in MBBS government colleges as other reserved students with a lower rank will also be given a seat. Hope this helps.
