Getting an AIR under 10,000 is good if you want to get in SRM.

Getting a rank within 10,000 is considered as good.

Since you can opt for any branch in any Campus.

And as you know Computer Science Engineering is most sought branch in Chennai Campus.

And if you can get it, you can get any branch you want.

As per the Cut off for Computer Science Engineering, you can get it as per the following data.

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering

2016 10000 Max. Closing rank

2015 9000 Max. Closing rank

Therefore if you get a rank within 10,000 you have done a good job.
