GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering . It is an exam conducted by IISc  and IITS I'm collaboration. So sorry it doesn't allow you to take admission into any MSC course.

For admission into MSC you need to sit for JOINT Admission Test (JAM) conducted again by IIT AND IISC. So if you want to take admission in MSC you need to sit for the JAM exam.

Gate score can surely help you with your improved CV and can help you in your interview as a good impression on the interviewer.
