hi sir my name is mohankumar, i am from a small village from Karnataka. my job was driving lorry, sir i want to write upsc exam but my age is 27 years now. some confusion in age limitations, can i write a exam at 30 ?. because 3 years for preparation, please clarify my doubt sir please

You can check upper age limit for various categories which is provided below :-
- General category & EWS: 32 years;
- OBC(with certificate): 32 years + 3 years i.e 35 years
- Sc/ST: 32 years + 5 years i.e 37 years
- Physically Disabled: 32 years + 10 years i.e 45 years .
If I tell you about maximum number of attempts then it is given below for different categories :-
- A general category/EWS category candidate has a maximum of 6 attempts in the UPSC IAS exam.
- OBC candidates have 9 attempts
- SC/ST candidates have no bar on the number of attempts (they can take the exam until they reach the upper age limit)
