Package depends on present market scenario.
The average package is 25 lakhs.A diploma student in JMI got 70 lakhs package in 2018.So, if you are capable and deserving you can easily get package above 25 lakhs.

it's a fact that core ECE companies are few in number & thus have limited vacancies. You could brush some of CS concepts, if you get ECE branch. The placement is  average /sub par for ece. Might not be as good as dtu and nsit but is still comparable to decent nits. The median package for the year was 8 lpa.
However, recently jmi had TCIL,  GoI enterprise to recruit on campus & it preferably looks for ECE guys out there. Apart from this, ECE guys have been placed atCSC, TCS& many others

The placement record is not good for civil engineering, but for computer science and electronics branch tjere are almost 95% placement. Highest package offered was 15.25 lakhs per annum, average package around 3.5-4.5 lakhs per annum. Mass recruiters are- TCS, wipro, infosys etc.
