Yes you can participate in aiims examination after your 12th as Candidate should have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on the December 31 of the year of admission (2018).
Candidates born on or after January 2, 2002, are not eligible to apply.

but sir , mai abhi bhi totally confused hu ki abhi mai class 9th me hu to 18 years ka hu jab 12th pass kar lunga to 21 saal ka ho jaaunga to kya mai 21 saal ke baad Aiims entrance exam de paunga
