For B. Tech, ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA is:

You should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 55% if a General candidate and 50% in case of SC/ST. In PCM, an average of at least 60% is required for a General candidate and 55% in case of SC/ST candidates.

The admission to various Undergraduate and Post graduate programmes is done through MALVIYAN ENTRANCE TEST (MET).

The total intake in B. Tech 1st year is 120 out of which 90% seats are filled on the basis of merit rank obtained by candidates in MET.

10% of total intake is made through JEE MAIN qualified candidates from UP and 10% supernumerary seats of total intake is for candidates qualified in JEE MAIN from any other state.

The cutoff score for various brances differ from year to year depending on number of candidates. I took the entrance test in 2016. According to the toughness of paper and number of students appearing for the exam as per the trend, minimum marks you should score is around 230-240 out of 600 and for getting the desired branch 270-300 would be a good score even for a General Candidate. But it depends on the toughness of paper.
