Creating usable and beautiful spaces where one can work or live is the job of an interior designer. He or she should be able to make the optimum utilization of space for the benefit of the user. Beauty, functionality, aesthetics are the words that normally get used during the work of a designer. It will demand some knowledge of architecture and materials and is offered as an undergraduate programme. One can work as interior designer; exhibition designer; set designer (films and TV); retail designer in architecture etc.
