Hello Pratiksha,

EWS quota is recently introduced to help the economically weaker sections of the society falling in the general category. It is of course beneficial as 10% quota is given to students who apply for EWS.

To claim the EWS quota, you need to fill the EWS option in category section in the application form of DU. You will also have to submit a copy of your EWS certificate which is made on the basis of the total Family income.
