How is the B.Com program at VIT, Vellore? Please give your feedback for the same.

Vellore Institute of Technology offers the BCom through the School of Social Sciences and Languages. The programme focuses on providing expertise in the areas of Accountancy, Taxation, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, etc. The admission is based on marks obtained by candidates in the Class 12 examination. Candidates who get admission to the BCom programme offered at VIT Vellore are required to pay the programme fees according to the structure mentioned below:

• Tuition Fees (per annum): Rs. 55,000
• Caution Deposit (one-time refundable): Rs. 2,000

The institute also offers good placements to its students. Post the completion of the programme, students can make their career in the field of Accounting and Auditing, Business and Financial services, Consulting, etc.

The admission to the B com programme at VIT is based on 10+2 scores. Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination, with minimum of 70% overall aggregate. Students must have studied Commerce / Accountancy / Mathematics as one of the subjects for admission to this programme.

The application begins in the month of April and the applicants need to be born on or after 1st July 1998 to be eligible for admission to the academic year 2018-19. The admissions are offered based on the merit list prepared for all applicants.

The three year programme is available at two VIT campuses – Vellore and Bhopal

The course fee is around 1.2 lakh for three years of the programme.

Since VIT has strong industry connect, the students across courses get to hear from industry people on regular basis. Seminars, workshop and industry visit is part of the academic process.
