Placements in our college are good in general. Many students from the computer science branch managed to get placed. The highest package offered was nearly 18 lacs per annum, and the average package offered was around 6.5 lacs per annum. The major recruiters are Cisco, Citrix and Deloitte. The infrastructure of PES University is good. The campus has 2 libraries with plenty of reference books. All the classrooms have LCD displays which makes teaching more effective. All the lectures are recorded, and students can make use of it for better understanding. Labs and classrooms are clean and tidy with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Food provided in the canteen is good, and both non-vegetarian and vegetarian food items are served. Food is delicious. Wi-Fi connectivity is average in classrooms. I am a day scholar, so I don't know much about the hostel, but I heard that the facilities are good. Overall, the infrastructure is good. I feel it would be much better after the construction of the new block.

Faculty members in PES are very good. I am a mechanical student. The faculty members use both PPTs and chalkboard to teach, which I feel is a good way to share knowledge. Most of the teachers have doctorate degrees from prestigious institutions like IISC and IIT. Industrial exposure is good. We were taken to industries related to the metal casting (in 3rd semester). It was good to see and observe the practical applications of the knowledge we gained in classes. PES has a different course curriculum specially designed for effective learning.

PESU admits 40% of its students to undergraduate courses based on their Karnataka CET and 60% seats based on PESSAT (the university's own entrance test) ranks. PESU also admits students under Management quota,which does not place any merit requirements.There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can directly enter the second year of study in engineering. On graduating students receive a Bachelor of Technology degree.
