How much minimum rank is required for an obc girl candidate to get into top 10 iits with a decent branch?
Hello aspirant,
For writing the jee advanced entrance exam and to get into the top IIT's you need to qualify the jee main exam first . As you didn't mention weather you come under OBC-NCL or OBC-CL,OBC-CL candidates are considered under general category.OBC-NCL cutoff for the year 2019 was 74.3%.
Before I tell you about the rank required to get into the top 10 iit's let me tell you about all the aspects that affect the rank to make you underdtand. The authorities will be considering the following aspects such as availability of seats, number of students taking the exam, previous years cutoff trends and difficulty of question paper.so,the rank changes every year we cant determine it accurately. The number of OBC-NCL students that were qualified last year were 7651 and in that the number of girls were around 1000 to 2000.
To qualify the jee advanced exam you need qualify in all the three subjects with an estimated percentile of 9% in each subject.you will have girls quota so, achieving a rank around 20,000 would be fine to get into top 10 iit's
ALL THE BEST,Feel free to ask questions anytime.
Hello,
It is difficult to predict the exact score because the cut off depends on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available. And JEE Advanced total marks vary every year, it is not same always so as total marks vary we cannot predict the exact marks. You need to score minimum 40-45% of total marks to have decent chances of getting seat in top 10 IITs.In 2019 JEE Advanced total marks were 372 so 40-45% of 372 means 148.8-167.4 marks. But this is based in JEE Advanced 2019 total marks. In 2020 the total marks will change so you need to score 40-45% of total marks.
