how to diploma holders admission in IIT ?

Hey,
If you want to apply in IITs, then you will have to appear in JEE mains. IITs give admission only on the basis of JEE. You cannot get admission in NITs and CIFs after diploma.
Once you qualify JEE mains, you will have to appear for JEE advanced. Now for JEE advanced, you must have atleast 75% score or equivalent CGPA in diploma for general category. For SC/ST/PWD you need 65% score or equivalent CGPA.
Then, you can get admission in IIT and you will be given admission in 1st year only. There is no lateral entry for direct admission in 2nd year in IITs.
Hope this helps!

Hello LNT,
Just like class 12th appearing student, a student pursuing diploma degree can similarly appear for JEE MAIN and JEE ADVANCE. The diploma 3 year course is similarly treated as 12th pass.
There is no lateral entry.
Hope this helps. All the best...!!!
