For 6 years course Pharm.D
The candidates must have cleared 10+2 with chemistry or physics and as compulsory subjects with Biology or Math.
For 3 year Pharm.D course ( Post Baccalaureate)
Those who have passed B.Pharm from an recognized institution are also eligible to can apply for Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate).
pharm.D entrance exams are:
- Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)
- All India PG Super Speciality Common Entrance Test [AIPSSCET]
- BITS HD Pharmacy
- Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test [UP-CPMT]
- Punjab Pre-Medical Entrance Test [PMET PMET]

Pharma D is a 6 year course which is at a doctorate level which is divided into two parts- first is the 5 year academic study which is followed an year of internship. It is focused on patient medication. The criteria for application is 10+2 from a recognized board or university. You will also need a diploma in Pharmacy which is recognised by PCI. The application forms have different dates for different colleges, depending on their curriculum and yearly cycles. Some of them even accept the score of GPAT and you can get admission through that as well. Even the above mentioned criteria can be altered from institution to institution. Some colleges even conduct entrance exams and have a counselling session after that.

For admission to the pharm.d, eligible candidates need to have passed a relevant entrance examination, conducted by any university at State and national levels, as part of the general admission procedure. Subsequently, qualifying candidates are needed to qualify rounds of group discussion and personal interview as part of the counseling procedure.
The major entrance exams conducted in India for the admission in this course are GPAT, UP-CPMT, PMET, UPSEE pharmacy.
Besides these entrance examinations, some institutes in the country also have their own admission criteria in place, and offer admission on the basis of the candidate’s score in such qualifying examination.

The basic eligibility criterion to apply for the course is a 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board and a qualified diploma in Pharmacy from any Pharma.D college recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
