Placements:The placements are good enough for students in NIT Hamirpur. But, it requires more than a NITian to get good placement. You should be curious about learning things in the whole period of your B.Tech. Also, Your CGPA should be above 8 (require only to shortlist the students for different companies during placement procedure) which indicates your academic performance. Good CGPA can increase your chances to get a placement but not guarantee your placement.

Infrastructure:The infrastructure is also good enough at least better than other government colleges in the state. Internet facility is provided in the lecture hall and all the boys and girls hostel. Sports ground is there for (approximately) every major game. Nescafe, Vereka, and Amul Booths are provided for the students. The lab facilities are given to the students.

Faculty:The quality of education does not meet the demands of today's India. The skills are required to crack the placement. The core companies are not given any opportunity at all. The focus is more only on theory part which is responsible for the quality of engineers in India, but, don't worry because this is the problem of almost every college in India.

Other:The cultural fest of NIT Hamirpur is Hill Fair celebrated for 3 days every year. As compared to other colleges in the state, the fest is good enough. Many other colleges visit NIT Hamirpur during the fest, and technical fest of NIT Hamirpur is NIMBUS, which needs more to improve as to increase its standard.
